🏭Stakeholders Network

A method to establish a stakeholders Network for a distributed FCH

What is this tool about and why is it relevant ?

The stakeholder network established by the Copenhagen team during their experimental process in CENTRINNO is defined as a method they have employed to foster collaboration between local stakeholders and businesses related to creative and crafting activities. The Copenhagen FCH model , in Nordvest, since the beginning worked on a distributed hub model, structured as a network of existing spaces , for this reason it was fundamental to anchor the distributed hub in a network of local stakeholders to facilitate mutual support , more interaction and collaboration. The pilot initiated actions to consolidate this network when they had established a good connection with the local stakeholders and found there was an interest in more collaboration locally. The role of the local FCH team was to facilitate meetings, events organisation, workshop and panel discussion in different spaces bring stakeholders together and foster new collaborations to tackle relevant and common challenges.

Meetings were organised every three months in different locations, so each time participants have the opportunity to visit different space, understand local issues and discuss about possible collaboration and mutual support.

The group has initiated a closed facebook group where they introduce themselves, get to know each other and communicate news on meetings and other relevant info regarding the future network activities.

The main actors who have initiate the network are : the City of Copenhagen and DDC , who had the role of identifying stakeholders, inviting to and facilitating the first network events.

Key stakeholders such as Makerspace NV and Bispebjerg Lokaludvalg, a Local Committee , are now playing a leadership role in organising next events and take over the existing activities and develop new ones.

The setting up of a stakeholders networks aiming at fostering creative and makers businesses and sustaining adistributed FCH Initiative allowed the local team in Copenhagen to obtain the following :

increased knowledge of each other’s challenges and resources

A stronger/joint local voice in regards to future local urban development
