Pilots' Journeys toward FCHs

The following pages aim at describing the 9 specific journey each pilots city have undertaken during the life span of the research project CENTRINNO in order to set up their own and unique model of FCH.

Each of the 9 FCHs stories here after reported will try to reach two main objectives :

  • from one side to restitute the uniqueness and complexity of each of the 9 journey by telling a story starting from the beginning to the end

  • from the other to serve as replicable examples for other cities and or organisations that want to undertaken a similar journey and may be inspired by those stories.

For these reasons each story have been reported by following a similar underlining structure, this will mean that each pilots' journey will be told by explaining the actions and tools they have used to come up with a shared vision, a strong community and a suitable physical infrastructure for their Fab City Hub.

Furthermore, a specific focus will be dedicated to the different actions and tools that each city has used to gain a spatial presence in their neighbourhood and their city at large. In this way, how they have materialise their FCH model through the innovative (use) of spaces, part of their urban heritage, in order to implement regenerative strategies for urban regenration and sustainable transition.
