🛠️Mapping roles in the Circular Economy

A workshop to map your circular economy actors

What is it about and why is it relevant ?

To build a socially inclusive and circular innovation ecosystem around Fab City Hubs, Fab City Hubs need to convene a diverse group of actors. From recyclers, investors, local industries to community organisations - every stakeholder has a role to play in shaping the vision of a circular economy. However, the first step in this process is to support local stakeholders in understanding their own contribution and potential place within circular value chains.

This resource provides Fab City Hubs with a Circular Economy Roles classification, consisting of 12 key types of circular economy actors, descriptions and examples. Using these cards within facilitated workshops can help pilots to increase stakeholder’s self-awareness and feeling of responsibility in a shared vision towards a circular economy. This tool is suggested to be used together with or before mapping stakeholders on KUMU, or as part of a resource flow mapping workshop.
