🥝Materiom

Nature's open data recipe book of biomaterials

What is it about and why is it relevant ?

Materiom is an open-source platform for sharing easily replicable recipes, using widely available biomaterials and wastes. The platform also provides data on various biomass materials to support communities, cities and makers to shift towards bio-based supply chains. You can see some of th recipes in this link:

Like any recipe book, each bio-based material includes the material composition and amounts, the tools needed and step by step instructions to be able to replicate the recipe yourself.

Locally produced biomaterials, especially those developed from waste resources, may play an important role in CENTRINNO locally productive activities. Pilot cities may use the Cartography to map the resources required for the fabrication of these materials, and Materiom may be a source of inspiration for physical workshops and communities around bio-fabrication.
